The ax head is nicely engraved but hard to see the details. I stained the handle an oak color with a coat of polyurethane. A nice benefit is that the stain also brought out the engraved details of the ax head.

The sword is beautiful. It is fun to wear around and have people ask about it. Construction quality is great for the price.
Got it for my boyfriend for a gift. He absolutely loved it. Says that the handle was amazing with the way it was designed and the detail on the entire axe is gorgeous. The having the cover that goes over the axe its self was a cool addition to protect the blade. It was heavy when it came. He collects them and said it was a super neat addition to his collects was very happen with it.

Blade is real and has a perfect edge. Very balanced and durable. Obviously it's for display in my case but it is definitely able for a realistic sword or axe battle. Parrying is easy. Thrust is easy, and much more.Dislikes are the sheath. Broke easily once around the back or waist. Definitely needs a thicker belt and more loops because it is tool loose. Still 5 stars for looks and use. Just buy a better sheath if you wish to carry it for training like style, or cosplay

Cool looking but packaged poorly. Dinged up hand guard and surface rust on the blade.
We have a fifth wheel and I use this for chopping splitting hammering. The backside is great for Mackinnon's 10th stake spikes. Anything you can think of this was a great purchase. Perfect size. I have large hands. If you have smaller hands than maybe you might have to use both hands
